New Start

Well, Wow it's been longer than I had hoped since I last blogged. I said I wasn't gonna wait so long in between posts...I guess I lied.. sorry...There has just been so much going on here lately that I haven't made the time to post. Well, I'm gonna TRY to stay on track and blog regularly now for sure. There is alot of new things going on that I'm super excited about

First, I have been doing some serious thinking and trying to get my life together for my son and my family. I want to be able to give my son all that he deserves and wants in life. And I knew college was the way to go. I was going to Nursing school right after i graduated, but plans were different then and I didn't put my all into school at the time, but no need in looking back bc every thing that has happened and every choice i made got me to where i am today and my son. And I wouldnt change a single thing.

Anyhoo, I did alot of googleing and searching everywhere to find what i was looking for. Then boom there it was the perfect college to make these chances in my life so i could make a difference or out future. I came upon a wonderful College, Eastern College of Health Vocations. It is located in Little Rock, Arkansas, only about an hour away. It is a wonderful college and is ranked one of the best programs. Its only a 10 month program for Medical Assistant. There is so much more I have planned to do along with this schooling.

I was blessed to be able to attend the school with my lovely boyfriend/future husband. It's just so surreal. The good Lord will most def answer your prayers. We went to find out about our financial aid last Thursday. And well, it went awesome! Bobby also has help from when he was in the Navy. We are waiting for all that bc if you have ever dealt with the Government in the past then you know they don't rush. Next Thursday we have Orientation where we get our scrubs and books, etc. Then the following Monday the 29th we start class. It's only 4 hours a day mon-thurs. I am so happy and excited i worry something will go wrong, but all so far is well and set to go. I'm glad I pushed this and decided to go for it and try.

I'm ready for this and ready to start a new chapter in our life. It's time to get things together and set some goals for our future. I am following my heart and my dreams and doing what i know is best for us. I'm so glad i have a wonderful family behind us for help and support. I love my family so very much. Well, thats the most recent news and that an update on things. But yes i am definitely gonna try to keep regular with posting now. :)

"Random Hero"

Ryan Dunn  6-11-1977  -  06-20-2011
Well, I really don't know how to even start this one, but today is definitely a sad day. With all the tears,my heart hurts :( Today was the loss of a great legend. Ryan "Random Hero" Dunn passed away in a car crash. He was so funny and so full of life and not afraid to take risks as we have all seen in CKY, Jackass and Viva La Bam and many more times! Watching all those will never be quite the same again.

Ryan and Bam and all the cky crew have been such a huge part of my life. I have been a true fan for years. I have spent many hours on many occasions watching them do what they do best. I have had some good times and have some great memories with some good friends while enjoying watching Dunn and everyone crack us up with some funny stuff! lol So many good times! And everyone that knows me knew of my Bam Obsession.:P He is just amazing beyond words! I know the pain he must feel at this moment is something we would never know. I know his heart is hurting so bad.

I know Bam will probably never see this or ever know anything about it, but he will be in my prayers, him and his family. They were so important in my life and they will always hold a special place in my heart. This is definitely a sad day. I know he is in Heaven right now trying to hit on the angels. :) Well, I just wanted to take some time to show my respect for Ryan and Bam and all their loved ones. We love you and will miss you terribly! Dunn followed his heart and died doing what he loved to do. He loved driving fast and having a good time. I guess you can say Ryan died with his boots on. Ryan was so special and will always be a Legend. I also wanted to say bless the family of Zac Hartwell who also lost his life in the wreck. God bless his family. 06-20-11

CKY Crew...Probably the coolest people you'll ever meet :)

Bam and Dunn

Rest in Peace, Ryan. We love you.

Our Trip To Texas

Ok, So, I'm taking it back a month or so here with writing about our trip. Yes, I know, I am behind on keeping things up to date. Anyways, We took a weeks Vacation to Texas to see some close friends and family. It was also our little man's first time leaving the state. It was his first time in Texas. We were so super excited to take him there because that's where "Dada" was born and where he lived most if his life so Texas is a very important place for Bobby. He wants it to be an important place for our son as well and share and teach him wonderful things about his Daddy's home state.

Pumpkin's First time in Texas (we were just over the stateline here )

Well, For starters I'm just going to come out and say it, The trip was a bummer... Not totally, but still a big bummer. We got about an hour away from our destination and the car messed up. ugh... It was awful. We had to wait at like 4 in the morning on the side of the road in this tiny town called Hye at this store that was literally the whole town. That store was the post office, grocery store and all. And all I kept thinking was "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". It really freaked me out. but we finally got a ride to where we were going.

Like I said, It wasn't a total bummer or a wasted trip. We did get to see and hang with some wonderful close friends/family. It was the first time Pumpkin was introduced to everyone in good ole Center Point and Kerrville. :) That was one of the main reasons we were going anyways. With Uncle Joe being sick we all really wanted them to meet. Everyone loved meeting 4(since he is the IV thats what everyone called him lol) and he loved meeting them.

We had alot of things on our list of things to do and see while we were there. When we lived there we just loved going to San Antonio. But since we didn't have a car until we got our rental we didn't have enough time to go to every place we wanted to go. We did get to go to the San Antonio Zoo, which was top on our list of things to do.I was really wanting Pumpkin to get to go. It was his first time at the zoo. It ended up being really hot and he really wasn't all that interested in the animals or anything, but he still had a good time and it was still totally worth it.

W/ Mommy at the Zoo

W/ Daddy at the Zoo ( It was so hot out..ugh.)

The trip was fun even though our plans seemed to change constantly and I do get let down so easy. I put my all into things and then get let down when things don't necessarily  go as planned. But that's life you can't plan everything that happens.  I've learned you just got to make the best out of what you do get to do. And sometimes that ends up being even better. Not to mention all my favorite places to eat; Jack In The Box, Whataburger,Taco Casa(which there i didn't get to eat), And Starbucks is so very close to everything! Vanilla Bean Frappuccino (No Coffee) Yummy! :) I really bad wanted to stop in Dallas at Medieval Times! But that's another trip at another time. (sore subject). Any hoo, It was a 12 hour trip with an almost 9 month old baby so it was pretty eventful. But My baby did wonderful and was such a good boy the whole time, but I would still rather him be a little bit older next time we take a 12 hour trip like that. With his allergies he came back sick with a runny nose, poor baby. but in the end it was worth it and alot of fun and our rental car was so nice and comfy on the way home, just ate up the gas.

Well, That was our trip pretty much. Oh and we also got to spend Easter with everyone there and pumpkin got an Easter Basket and I got to go to Hastings and check out some True Blood stuff and buy some of the Tru Blood drink!!! :) Yes, I would love to go back and get to go to a few places we missed, Like Seaworld, The Riverwalk and The Alamo, but we plan on going back later when Pumpkin gets a little bit older and can enjoy more things while we are there. Well, Our internet is being slow so all the pics may take a while to get here. But I will get some more on, I promise. :)

these restless nights....

Well, Don't really have all that much to say tonight just that I can't sleep, but yet i'm so tired.. I think I just need a little time to unwind and relax for a while. It's been a really long day and not as productive as yesterday. I wa really hoping to have another productive day and get some much needed things done.

Anyway, I haven't been staying totally regular like I said I would, but I guess its because I feel like no one is even reading what i'm writing, but then I remind myself this is as much for me as it is for anyone else. This is actually my "ME" time and I enjoying it very much. Well ok, enough of this ranting over silly stuff.
Just wanted to say that things are about to change in my life nothing bad all good! It's much needed changes. I want to do whats best for my son and my family and I will definitely keep regular and keep everything posted as the changes come.

Well, I guess I am getting a little  tired now. It is getting late and Pumpkin will have me up pretty early in the morning so I think its time for Goodnights!
I will definitely be keeping things updated.... promise :)

Mom's Surgery

Well, It's been a couple weeks or longer since I've wrote and I said I would blog regularly. Sorry about that :) Well, Any hoo they're has been alot going on around here lately. Alot of new things happening, like moms surgery for instance. Mom has been having alot of trouble for years with hurting in her stomach and stuff. She found out she has Gallstones. It was suppose to be an easy procedure.

Mom was scheduled to have Laparoscopic Gallbladder Surgery On Wednesday. Its really a quick and not too painful process. It was a same day surgery and mom wasn't suppose to really be in to much discomfort, but after they got in their the Dr. said it was a mess in there. Well without getting into to much detail lets just say it was to big to come out the little slit they made so doc ended up having to do an open surgery. So mom ended up staying staying 4 nights in the hospital. But after everything the Dr. said mom did great and the surgery went great. They also said mom looked really good and couldn't believe she was up so fast moving around. We thank God for that one. He has surely answered our many prayers with this. :)

Mom is now home and during great. My nursing classes i took college are sure paying off now. I got to keep the bandages cleaned and changed. I love taking care of my mom. I know my mom will always take care of me, she always and i know she always will. She is the most amazing mom in world. I thank God everyday for blessing me with such a wonder mommy! :)

Dr. Lee Forestiere, MD did moms surgery. He is a really great Dr. and he has such a great bedside Manor. Mom really liked him alot and was glad she was referred to him. We are just so glad its over and mom is home and The Lord mgot us through all this. Now just comes things getting better and mom heainh up and lowly getting back into her normal routine bc its killing her and Little man that his Nana can't hold him for a few weeks.

Well, Thats about it for now I am about to get back to work getting things done.I know I have already said it, but Thank God its all over and we are home. I'll keep regular on my blogging now for sure. I won't wait so long next time to update whats going on. :)

Small Town Entertainment

So Today was a pretty good day. Today was our small town's main entertainment of the year, called "Star Daze." They have booth set up with craft and different things to buy and see. They have a few eating places set up. They also have a carnival and a Car Show. On Friday and Saturday night they have live music. This year they had some pretty popular country music singers. Anyways, We went and little man loved it. He loved seeing all the neat things going on and all the pretty cars at the Car Show. This was his first time getting a tiny sunburn on his little cheeks. Yeah that has pretty much killed me! Gosh, we wasn't even there that long and he stayed in his stroller most of the time. He got to have a fun time with Mommy and Daddy and that's all that matters. Well after it was all said and done we had a great time and was ready to head home. We stopped by and got us some convenient store chicken. The best chicken you can get, I do have to say
With Daddy

with Mommy :)

The Best Day of My Life

I'm gonna take it back just a tad bit. In late November of 2009 I found out that I was expecting. That had to have been the best feeling in the world to know that God had blessed me to be a mommy for the first time. My pregnancy went along great and normal not really anything out of the ordinary. I had crazy morning sickness that lasted all day long. For the first 3 months I could only eat crackers and drink Ginger Ale.

Finally the time came. On August 2, 2010 at 4:20 am my water broke and we drove to get my mom then we headed to the hospital. I have to say I was really scard, nervous but so excited all at the same time. I was in labor for about 12 hours. The epidural was great, but I still believe I didn't get a strong enough dosage of it! I had a pretty bad nurse too, but that didn't matter I was just ready for my baby to be here. Then at 3:40 pm our son was born, Bobby Lee Martin IV.(named after his Daddy and Papa)  He was 7lbs. and 2.6 ounces and he was 201/2 inches long. It was definitely a long journey, but it was the best day of my life. Here are a few pictures of our journey...

Here goes nothing...

Well here we go. Ever since I have been a little girl I have always loved writing. I have always wanted to start a blog, so I am finally ready to give it a go. I'm honestly really excited about this and getting a chance to share all the wonderful small things in life that slip right by us and we forget about. It's the little things that matter most. It will also be nice to just unwind and get all my emotions and feeling out there. I would like to blog regularly and keep all updated, but sometimes i fall behind on things, I am a mommy now of an 8 month old and things get pretty crazy, but so much fun with my son. I stay very busy, but I will try to stay regular with my blogging. I read on one of my fellow bloggers blog and I hope they don't mind that i took this, but I agree, I'm a big believer in praise and positive feedback, so keep the negative thoughts to a minimum:) Well, I guess this was a good start to many blogs to come. *Goodnight*
